In the Assembly of the Airports Council International (ACI Europe), held on 17 November, Marius Gelžinis, the CEO of Lithuanian Airports, was elected to the Board of this organization. The challenges of the pandemic continue to have negative influence on Lithuanian Airports’ results. In October, the number of passengers decreased by more than 20 percent in comparison with September. After a rather successful summer season, characterized by a consistent recovery of passenger numbers at Lithuanian Airports, the first month of autumn provided much lower results. The passenger traffic statistics of Lithuanian Airports in August show that this month showed best results this summer. Already at the beginning of October, the second largest city in Norway &#8211; Bergen &#8211; will be accessible by a direct flight from Vilnius. Reviewing the aviation statistics of July, Lithuanian Airports recorded that the recovery of passenger flows in Lithuania takes place a bit quicker than generally in Europe.
