Passport control

When travelling, you must carry a valid personal identification document. Before departure, please ensure that your travel document type is accepted for your destination. Up-to-date requirements are available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Birth certificates, driver’s licences, student IDs and other certificates are not considered valid travel documents.

When travelling to non-Schengen destinations, passengers may complete passport control more quickly by using self-service facilities. This option is available to adult European Union citizens holding a valid passport or a national identity card that meets the technical requirements for self-service use.
