At 11:15 p.m. on November 28, temporary airspace restrictions were introduced over Vilnius Airport. According to initial information, the decision to impose airspace restrictions was prompted by navigational signals characteristic of balloons moving in the direction of Vilnius Airport.

These airspace restrictions were lifted at 7:03 a.m., and all operations at Vilnius Airport are proceeding as normal.

More than 3,000 passengers and 22 flights were affected by these temporary airspace restrictions: 3 flights were cancelled, 9 were diverted to Kaunas and Riga airports, and the departure/arrival times of 10 flights were impacted.

Please note that isolated flight delays may occur throughout the day due to disrupted crew and aircraft rotation.

Passengers whose flights were affected by the restrictions are encouraged to contact their airlines directly for more detailed information.

Flight information can be monitored on the Vilnius Airport website.
