At Vilnius Airport, passengers can use self-service baggage drop-off terminals, which allow you to quickly and conveniently check in and drop off baggage without waiting in line.
Currently, this service is provided only for passengers of the following airlines: Lufthansa, Austrian, Norwegian, Brussels Airlines, Swiss, SAS, Wizzair and Airbaltic.
Passengers of Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Swiss may check in their baggage at the self-service bag drop terminals up to 4 hours before their scheduled departure time.
Passengers of airBaltic and SAS may check in their baggage at the self-service bag drop terminals up to 3 hours before their scheduled departure time.
How to use the self-service baggage drop-off system?
The self-service baggage drop-off process at Vilnius Airport takes place in two steps:
Step 1 – Baggage Check-in
- Check in for your flight online or at one of the Step 1 self-service terminals at the airport*
- Before checking in your baggage, remove all old baggage tags and barcode stickers.
- Select your flight airline and follow the instructions to check in your baggage.
- Attach the printed new baggage label to your baggage handle as instructed. Attach the label firmly by pressing the red dots.
Step 2 – Baggage Drop-off
- Go to the Step 2 self-service terminals where the baggage drop-off process is performed.
- Press the screen and follow the instructions.
- Place the labeled baggage on the conveyor belt as shown on the belt.
- Make sure the baggage label can be scanned and is easily visible. If everything is done correctly, the system automatically reads the label and the baggage is successfully submitted.
- After completing the process, collect the printed operation receipt and continue your journey.
